2013 Yosemite Fires

SERC Website blog: Early September 2013 a wildfire broke out near the Yosemite Forest Dynamics Plot. The fire threatened the CTFS-ForestGEO plot, but managers handled the situation with a 'back-fire', or a controlled, man-made fire designed to burn the understory and take fuel away from the raging wildfire.
