Bio

Roy is a forest ecology scientist who explores the functional responses of tropical forests to environmental harshness and its effects on ecosystem functioning. He has a particular interest and fascination for tropical dry, humid, and Andean forests. Currently, he is a researcher at the Biodiversity Science Program, Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos Alexander von Humboldt, Bogotá, Colombia, South America, where he currently coordinates the Colombian Tropical Forest Monitoring agenda of this Institute.
